The growth rate of deposits made to Georgian banks is subsiding due to high inflation, according to the newspaper Ekonomikuri Palitra.
In recent years deposits in Georgian banks have soared, with investors trusting the increasingly stable banking sector. However, a high inflation rate, together with the decreasing USD value has caused this growth to slow. The majority of deposits are in USD.
