Azerbaijan’s oppositional Democratic Party has attacked the government for mismanaging the economy and not doing enough to address rising inflation in the country, the news agency Regnum reports. The party has demanded that the government create a task force, composed of members of the government and opposition, to address Azerbaijan’s economic problems.
Inflation in Azerbaijan reached 16.7 percent in December 2007, according to their National Bank.
