Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Georgian segment project ready

The Ukrainian Kievhydrotrans Institute has submitted the project plan for the construction of the Marabda-Tetritskaro segment of the BTK railway. This segment, 29.2 kilometres long, represents half of the portion of the railway which goes through Georgia.
Construction works in Georgia will be carried out by Azerinsaatservice from Azerbaijan, which plans to complete the project by 2011. Parallel to this, Turkey is continuing to construct the portion of track on its territory.
