Azeri losses from Baku-Tbilisi Ceyhan reversing

The BTC pipeline stopped working for a fortnight in August, but before the Georgian –Russian war broke out. After an explosion in Turkish territory BP was forced to suspend pumping operations. It would however have done this anyway as soon as the war started.

The suspension caused losses of USD 1 billion. Azerbaijan however is not at all pessimistic about the overall situation. It expects to recover the loss in the near future, and according to its projections, the profit index will be only minimally affected.
