Reopening of the Wedding House

The Tbilisi Wedding House has been fully refurbished with the assistance of Hellenic Aid, part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece. It was reopened on Wednesday 26 November in Tbilisi, at a ceremony attended by the Minister of Justice, Mr Zurab Adeishvili, Georgian officials and the Ambassador of Greece, Mr Georgios Chatzimichellakis. Its refurbishment was undertaken under an agreement signed by the Embassy of Greece in Georgia, the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and the Development and Reform Fund of the President of Georgia (DRF), according to which a grant of 300,000 Euro has been made to the Ministry of Justice to assist with Civil Registry Reform. Under this agreement two new Civil Registry departments have also been established in Tbilisi and another will soon open in the town of Kharagauli in Western Georgia.
