Second wave of crisis to come

Economic analyst Davit Narmania thinks that Georgia will experience the next wave of economic crisis this autumn. He predicts a fall in GDP and decrease in budget revenues as well as foreign and local investments, with unemployment increasing. Therefore he advises the authorities and the population to tighten their belts.

In particular Narmania warns the administration to spend the foreign assistance money it is receiving very carefully. He says this money is supposed to be spent in areas where it can make a serious difference, but if is used for covering social liabilities the situation could become even more grave.
