World Bank issues credit for Georgia and Armenia

The World Bank recently issued USD 85 million for Georgia and USD 60 million for Armenia to support reforms being undertaken to address the economic crisis in these countries. Initially Yerevan had expected USD 85 million.
In March 2009 the International Monetary Fund granted Armenia USD 540 million. Half a billion USD was given to Armenia by Russia as a stabilisation credit.
