Georgia’s currency reserves situation

On June 30 the National Bank of Georgia’s foreign currency reserves were worth USD 1.504,539 billion. The amount in the National Bank, on May 30 was more for USD 25 million. On June 30 2008 the reserves were worth USD 1.525,789 billion.
The highest currency reserve figure so far achieved in Georgia was in April 2008, when a little more than USD 1.9 billion was held. Economic analysts assume that given the economic crisis and budget revenue inflow problems Georgia’s currency reserves will continue to decrease.
