In the current situation of global economic crisis, war after-effects and other difficulties Georgian entrepreneurs are asking for some tax benefits as according to them the Government’s anti-crisis plan does not envisage offering any. They think that the dire situation in the economic and social sphere is more the product of incorrect economic polices.
Former opposition politician returned businessmen Irakli Iashvili thinks that giving tax benefits is the best way the Government can rescue the Georgian economy and encourage businessmen to continue working. Economist Gia Khukhashvili thinks that different amendments should be made to economic legislation to create a rational taxation system and a healthier business environment. The Anti-Monopoly Service should be revived and small and medium-sized businesses should be encouraged, thinks Khukhashvili.
