Chief of the Russian anti monopoly service Igor Artemev thinks that the opening of the Turkish-Armenian border will increase competition and hit monopolies in the Armenian market. Artemev thinks that it will increase turnover, improve the level of services and the quality of goods.
As for an influx of imports from the Turkish market, this would depend greatly on the policy of the Armenian Government. He thinks that the Government should facilitate local production to create equal competition and should also establish a fair taxation and customs duty policy.
