Last year Radio Liberty Georgian Service asked 52 Georgian residents to describe one week of their lives to produce a picture of a year in the life of Georgia. This was the fourth such project undertaken. A book containing the 52 stories called Liberty Diaries was launched in Tbilisi on March 18.
The contributors to this project include politicians, academics, foreigners such as British Ambassador to Georgia Denis Keefe and ordinary residents. It reveals the emotions, visions, hopes and frustrations of people from a wide range of backgrounds, social levels, dispositions, religions and opinions, with many different interests, all dealing with the same daily realities in Georgia. As such it gives a true reflection of what everyday life is like in this country.
Radio Liberty is based in Prague and broadcasts throughout Europe.
