Armenian President Sarkisian has suggested that a non-use of force agreement could be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Official Baku however says that agreement to this proposal under the current circumstances is unacceptable.
Official representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elkhan Poluhanov has stated that if the Armenian Head of State wants to exclude the possibility of using force he should help remove the reasons for using it by deoccupying Azeri territory. The representative highlighted Azerbaijan's actions are based on the principles of international law, which states that any country can exercise its right to restore its territorial integrity.
