Romania is interested in energy projects in the South Caucasus

The Romanian Foreign Minister has several times confirmed this interest during brief visits to Georgia. Georgia is also interested in closer relationships with Romania and new projects and offers have been discussed.

Romania is prepared to participate in the White Stream project which will transport oil from the Caspian region via the Black Sea to Ukraine. Romania is also interested in a liquid gas supply system from Georgia to Romania.
