Russia increases oil extraction

In March 2010 Russia increased its oil extraction to more than 10 million barrels a day. Meanwhile gas extraction has declined considerably.

In 2009 Russia extracted more than 494 million tonnes of oil. Russia is the only country in the world at present which produces up to 10 million barrels of oil daily.
