Armenia is considering the elaboration of a new concept for developing the country’s military industry. The special committee formed for this purpose is being chaired by Secretary of the National Security Council Artur Bagdasarian.
Bagdasarian thinks that Armenia should activate its contacts with different countries to increase the country’s defence capabilities and satisfy its demand for the necessary military hardware. Bagdasarian has visited Russia and Belarus several times and representatives of these countries have visited Armenia.
In the coming three months the basic elements of the Armenian military industry development concept should be elaborated.
