From January 1, 2013 the gambling business will only be able to operate in Tsahkadzor, Kotayk and Sevan and in certain areas nominated by the Government such as Yerevan International Airport Zvartnots and a free economic zone around it which is to be created in the near future.
So far casinos have been mostly concentrated along the motorway from Yerevan to the airport. There are currently 11 casinos and 103 gambling saloons in Armenia.
