American magazine Foreign Policy and the Fund for Peace have compiled and published the Failed States List 2010 which evaluates 177 countries. Georgia is in 37th place, in the group 'in danger’. The same group contains Iran in 32nd place and Azerbaijan in 55th. Armenia is 101st in the list, making it a 'borderline' country alongside Russia, Turkey, India, Brazil, Mexico etcetera.
The most stable countries in the world according to the rating are Norway, Finland and Sweden. Somalia is the least stable, with Chad, Sudan, Zimbabwe and Democratic Republic of Congo just above it.
The results were calculated by applying a conflict assessment system containing 12 criteria.
