Georgia's State Strategy on the Occupied Territories to be discussed at OSCE session
Debates on Georgia’s occupied territories will be held at the next session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. Georgian MPs will introduce the Georgian Strategy on the Occupied Territories to the Assembly and Gigi Tsereteli, Giorgi Kandelaki, Akaki Minashvili and Dimitri Lortkipanidze have already left for Oslo.
The debates will be held on a special resolution drafted by the OSCE Special Representative to Georgia and Assembly President Goran Lennmarker, who will present the document to Assembly members.
The Georgian MPs state that in spite of the fact that Russia has serious influence and authority in the OSCE and will do its best to hinder the adoption of a resolution on Georgia’s occupation, IDP repatriation and restrictions on humanitarian activities in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region, they hope the resolution will be supported by the other members of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. The Georgian delegation will return on July 11.
