Some employees of the Tourism Information Centre will be dismissed, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vera Kobalia stated on July 27.
“I was at the Tourism Information Centre a few days ago and only certain employees were there, the rest absent. Those who were working when I arrived will remain in their jobs, as for the rest, who were not, unfortunately they will have to find some other job,” Kobalia stated.
The Minister visited the Tourism Information Centre in Tbilisi City Hall at Freedom Square on July 16. She discovered that most of the employees were in Batumi attending the Jazz Festival there. Kobalia initially stated that all the employees would be dismissed, but later changed her mind.
The Tourism Information Centre was established on July 27, 2009 as part of the Ministry of Economy.
