Kobalia promotes yet another industrial free zone

Newly appointed Minister of economy and sustainable development, Vera Kobalia recently announced the creation of a new industrial free zone in Tbilisi near the international airport. The project, which could employ around 1500 locals will be managed by Georgian-Israeli Company Tera-1. Kobalia stated that this industrial zone will produce construction materials and also various electric appliances.
The construction of two industrial free zones in Georgia is already underway. One is near Poti port, the other in Kutaisi. The third, near Tbilisi airport will open after approximately two years.
