On October 19, addressing the media, one of the co-leaders of the newly formed Georgian Party, Erosi Kitsmarishvili explained the details of the visit to Switzerland where the Party members attended a group meeting. Kitsmarishvili denied traveling to Europe to meet Irakli Okruashvili (another Party founder) and refrained from specifying the particular topics of the meeting, stating that they weren’t particularly interesting. “The foundation meeting of the Party will be held according to the usual official ways necessary for establishing a political organisation,” he told the media without mentioning the location of the meeting scheduled for November 22.
Answering the claims of the leader of Our Georgia – Free Democrats, Irakli Alasania who on October 18 doubted whether the Georgian Party had anything good to give the country, Kitsmarishvili said he wondered how Alasania had mistaken the enemy. “Alasania never made such harsh statements about the President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili… I am confused if he sees our Party as the main enemy,” he said, adding that the Georgian Party would make no further comments on the issue before making the first forward steps.
