Turkey – Georgia’s biggest economic partner

Between 2006 and 2009 trade turnover between Georgia and Turkey exceed USD 1 billion. Import – export figures between the neighbouring countries have been consistently increasing for the last several years. Turkish companies are currently carrying out around 80 projects in Georgia, worth a total of more than USD 1 billion. The Georgian and Turkish authorities both agree there is still huge potential in the economic relationship of the two countries.
