USA big player in the Caucasus

The Deputy State Secretary in European and Eurasian issues of the USA, Philip Gordon, gave interview to Armenian service of Radio Liberty, where he highlighted USA as a member of Minsk group, playing a serious role in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict. He also confirmed that the situation remains quite serious. Incidents are taking place, and USA is trying to facilitate a solution to the problem within group activities. The current situation could result in further isolation of the countries, whereas it is desired that they communicate and cooperate diplomatically.
