Armenians’ opinion towards Russia

90% of Armenia’s population is in favour of the new agreement between Russia and Armenia on extending the terms of the Russian military base in the town of Gyumri. Armenians think that Russia should be the main country with which Armenia should further deepen its relations. It is followed by the USA, EU, Iran and Georgia. Around half of the Armenians questioned think that the initiative to improve relations with Turkey is a positive move. Research on these issues was carried out by the Sociometre research centre.
