Money transfers into Georgia

The National Bank of Georgia published information on money transfers for December 2010 which came to USD 98 mln. This is slightly more than for the same period in 2009 but less then 2008. It is interesting to note that the largest amount of money was transferred from Russia – USD 54.6 mln. From Ukraine there was transferred USD 7.7 mln. From USA – USD 6.5 mln; from Greece – 6.4 mln from Italy – 6.2 mln. USD 8.4 mln was transferred to foreign countries from Georgia.
