The Armenian president announced the initiative of introducing amendments to the constitution to form two chambers. The upper chamber will include representatives of the Armenian Diaspora so that every Armenian around the world will be able to participate in the management of the country. Diaspora Minister Granush Akopian spoke of the initiative during an appearance in California commenting that the Armenian president wants to tighten connections between the Armenian Diaspora across the globe. Armenia exercises dual citizenship and so the creation of a social chamber- Senate for Diaspora members will be the next step. MP from the ruling republican party chairman of the state legal commission David Arutunian commenting on the issue said that he will say more about this project after studying it in detail.
