Georgia’s Energy Minister, Alexander Khetaguri stated in an interview to Reuters that Georgia has several assets in the energy sector which could be sold, the most important of which is the gas pipeline through which Russian gas is pumped to Armenia via Georgia. This is a very controversial issue as both Azerbaijan and Armenia have a serious interest in to whom this pipeline will belong because of the Karabakh conflict between the two counties.
