Awarding French Order

French Ambassador to Georgia HE Eric Furnier awarded five Georgians for their contribution in popularizing French language and culture abroad with the French state order Palmes Academiques. Among the awarded persons, four received the merit of knight and one the merit of officer. The Officer’s merit was received by Mzagho Dokhturishvili, Tbilisi Ilia State University full professor of Romanistics. The Order of knight was received by Sibila Geladze, associated professor of Romanistics of Tbilisi State University, Irina Tukhulova Tbilisi Ilia State University – French teacher, Ketevan Jashi from Tbilisi Ilia State University full professor of romanistics and Vazha Tskhoverbashvili Tbilisi state university professor and director of Mari Brosse French -Georgian school.
