An international conference on the possible environmental problems of installing pipelines on the Caspian Sea bed was held on Monday in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan capital. The conference was attended by government representatives from Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, together with experts from various companies involved in the oil and gas industry. As yet the Caspian Sea has not yet been divided officially, which causes some discord between the five Caspian countries: Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran.
