Georgia and Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Establish Diplomatic Relations
Georgia and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago have signed a communique on establishing diplomatic relations, 24 Hours reports.
As per the communique, mutual relations between both countries will be guided by the principles of friendly relations, national sovereignty, sovereign equality, territorial integrity and the inviolability of state borders.
The protocol was signed by the Permanent Representative of and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to the United Nations, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Rodni Charles, and by the Permanent Representative of Georgia to the UN, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mr. Alexander Lomaia.
The signing ceremony was held in Georgia's Permanent Representation to the U.N. in New York.
In compliance with international practice, both parties informed the U.N. Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-moon of the establishment of diplomatic relations between their two countries.
Bakradze opened photo gallery exhibition dedicated to late Polish President in Tbilisi
A photo exhibition has been opened in the Academy of Arts in Tbilisi dedicated to the first anniversary of the Smolensk tragedy, 24 Hours reports. The exhibition was organized by the Polish embassy in Georgia and the Cultural Development Foundation of Georgia.
“This is our human, political and moral obligation to recall and express our huge respect and love towards the late Polish president and his spouse as well as towards all people who tragically died in this catastrophe,” Bakradze stated. “Georgia lost its devoted friend, Poland lost a big patriot. Poland was and will remain as Georgia’s friend and relations will continue but we will all miss Kaczynski,” Bakradze concluded.
The 2010 Polish Air Force Tu-154 crash occurred on 10 April 2010, when a Tupolev Tu-154M aircraft of the Polish Air Force crashed near the city of Smolensk, Russia, killing all 96 people on board. These included the Polish president Lech Kaczynski and his wife, the chief of the Polish General Staff and other senior Polish military officers, the president of the National Bank of Poland, Poland`s deputy foreign minister, Polish government officials, 12 members of the Polish parliament, senior members of the Polish clergy, and relatives of victims of the Katyn massacre.
