Foreign money transfers into Georgia increase

In April 2011 more than USD 90 mln was transferred into Georgia which is 20% more than the same period of the previous year. More than half of this money was transferred from Russia. In the other direction, only around USD 2 mln was transferred from Georgia into Russia. In the same period around USD 7 mln was transferred from Greece into Georgia, 6.3 mln from Italy. The figures show that there is a growing tendency of peope transferring money into Georgia from abroad.
