Armenians successful everywhere apart from Armenia

IMF representative in Armenia Gillermo Tolos stated recently that Armenian businessmen are successful everywhere apart from Armenia itself. He named the existing business environment and local conditions as the reason for this domestic failure. He also mentions that there is potential in the country to improve the business environment which would only require some good political decisions. The IMF representative claimed that non-transparent and complicated customs procedures were hindering exports and imports in the country. There are also serious shortcomings in the taxation system.
