AGRI project gas price
Thursday, June 2
There are different options available for the transportation of Caspian gas to Europe. One of these projects is AGRI (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania Interconnector) which envisages pumping gas to the Georgian Black Sea coastline. From here it will be transported by tankers to the Romanian port of Constanta where it will be de-liquefied and pumped further into Europe. Some analysts think that the project is not the best option as an alternative to supply Europe with alternative gas bypassing Russia. These suggestions are based on the fact that the price of natural gas transported through the AGRI project to Europe will be higher than the gas provided by Russia.
