According to official statistics, the number of unemployed persons in Georgia has decreased. However the independent analysts challenge this information. According to current information more than 61% are self employed and among those people there are the residents of rural districts, farmers who possess land plots. And therefore they are deemed to be self employed. In reality most of them do not work and do not cultivate their land because of high expenses which they cannot afford. Through different complicated observations some analysts suggest that the level of unemployment is higher than the 16.3% that has been broadcast.
