Head of the Armenian analytical centre Alternative Tatul Manaseryan thinks that Armenia’s budget will increase three fold if it manages to escape from the so called shadow economy development. According to him, due to shadow economic issues Armenia’s budget receives three times less revenue than it should.
If this shadow economy disappears, or at least decreases, this will improve the situation in its market economy. The increase of exports and creation of institutions which will solve unemployment problems will also boost the economy. According to him, there is 16-18 % unemployment in the country though officially this figure is only 7%.
