Less optimism in Russia towards South Ossetian independence

As Russian newspaper Commersant reports that for the last two years support has weakened in Russia towards the idea of independence of South Ossetia. Many people instead consider the possibility of the integration of this territory either with Russia or with Georgia. It is more likely to happen, as Russian analysts suggest the independence of South Ossetia has become very problematic, if in 2009 independence of South Ossetia was supported by 52% of polled participants, today this figure has decreased to 31%. 28 % support the idea of South Ossetia's integration to Russia, while 7% wants it to remain a Georgian territory.
