The famous, Paris-based musical group Gotan Project will give a concert to a Georgian audience on October 2. As part of their international tour the the trio founded by Philippe Cohen Solal, Eduardo Makaroff and Christoph H. Muller will bring their rhythms to Tbilisi Concert Hall. From their establishment in 1999 the Gotan Project has served up a tantalising type of tango, bringing the sexy music and sound of Argentina to the world. The Gotan Project were the first to successfully bring the traditional and the folkloric into the electronic age.
Gotan Project has been round the world several times, keeping the crowds entranced with their albums and shows. The trio has a huge following: some people come for the tango, others for the electro music, most come for their sound. The result is an unusual mix of people who get carried away by what has been described as 'fantastic multicultural electroshock'. Gotan Project has established a unique and highly influential sound by preserved the class and elegance of the instruments used. Now the sound of Gotan Project is synonymous with cool and chic from the clubs of New York to the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Back with their 3rd studio album “Tango 3.0,” Gotan Project will lead the way into a new decade with its vision of musical styles from the Mississippi delta blues to New Orleans to Nashville to the back streets of New York, all in Tbilisi.
