Georgian authorities’ have diligently calculated the number of foreign tourists who have entered the country and plan to host around a total of 3 mln tourists by the end of this year. Georgia has also outgoing tourism as well. According to data during the first eight months of this year 1.4 mln Georgian citizens traveled abroad. Most of the travelers from Georgia go on business, holidays or studies. Some are pilgrims. About 48% of Georgian travelers stay with relatives and friends. The most popular destinations among Georgians are Turkey, Ukraine and Armenia.
