Georgia Foreign Debt Reached USD 10.5 bln

As the National Bank of Georgia officially reports, in the second quarter of 2011 the aggregated foreign debt of Georgia reached USD 10.5 bln, which is 1.8 bln more than the last year during the same period. Of this, 95% of Georgia’s foreign debt is in the foreign currency. Officials think that it is normal, whereas some independent analysts express their concern.
