Hydro power stations priority for the country

The ministry of energy and natural resources has declared its priorities. These are: the development of infrastructure, the constrasction of hydro electro power stations and exploration of natural resources. As minister Alexander Khetaguri stated there are ten hydro electro power stations under construction at the moment. They will generate 1.5 billion kilowatts of electrical energy. These stations are being built with local as well as foreign investments. It is planned that in 2012 the construction of 15 new hydro electric power stations will begin.
