Branch of Kazakh Bank Opens in Batumi

The first branch of one of the largest financial organizations "Halyk Bank" was opened on October 7 by the Minister of Finance and Economy of Ajara, Vazha Bolkvadze, and the city Mayor, Robert Chkhaidze, in the business center "Batumi Plaza".
The bank entered the Georgian market three years ago. The decision to open the branch in Ajara was based on the existence of a competitive investment environment.
As the Director General of "Halyk Bank Georgia" Nikoloz Geguchadze admitted "The bank will offer local people and the business sector a wide range of banking services.
“Halyk Bank” is a subsidiary of Kazakh People’s Bank, which has been operating in the country for many years and is a leading company. The bank's assets are USD 15 billion.
Eight local people are employed in the Batumi branch and their number will increase to 22 by the end of the year.
