Armenian analysts Vardan Oskanian stated recently that if there are additional sanctions imposed against Iran they will definitely create problems for Armenia as well. Iran for Armenia is a neighbour and economic partner. Armenia respects international opinion and its commitment to the decision of the international community. However, Yerevan thinks that all the disputed problems should be decided with Iran in peaceful and civilized ways through negotiations. Sanctions against Iran will automatically mean blocking the third border in the country. As is known, Turkey and Azerbaijan have no direct connections with Armenia. So far only the Armenia –Georgia, and Armenia-Iran borders are functioning.
