Out-migration is a significant and dramatic process in Armenia. The birth rate in Armenia has decreased two fold. On the political level, the country’s administration did not prevent the Armenian population from migrating, because those who emigrated were unsatisfied with the situation in the country and therefore were potential opposition supporters. As Armenian analysts suggest the age range of those who leave the country is between 20-50 years. Most migrants are males, so this means that in near future Armenia will face a lack of labour power.
