Abkhaz population issues

In February 2011 a census was held in Abkhazia. According to its results there is a population of around 250,000 Abkhaz in the region. Out of this number, ethnic Abkhazians account for 122,000 people, Georgians make up 43,000, Armenians - 41,000, Russians - 22,000 and so on. Accordingly ethnic Abkhaz are just over 50% of the entire population.
