As the leader of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadirov said, there are no more than 50 outlaw rebels left in Chechnya. As Kadirov stated, this is not a united group, rather these are just small units which have not surrendered and are doomed to be defeated. There have been cases, as Kadirov stated, of parents handing their sons in to police as they prefer for him to be alive in prison than getting killed on the outside. How reliable kadirov’s statement is is difficult to assess. One can only judge the situation from the news coming from the region on the number of terrorist attacks and their casualties.
