Georgia attracting more visitors

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in January 2012, 227 000 people entered Georgian territory, an increase of 41% over this time last year. Most people entering Georgia come from Turkey, followed by visitors from Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia. Approximately 5 000 Russian citizens entered Georgia at the Zemo Larsi border checkpoint, with around 2 000 Armenian citizens crossing at the same point.
