Foreign direct investment in Georgia since the Rose Revolution (in USD):
– 499.1 million
– 449.8 million
– 1.190 billion
– 2.14 billion
– 1.564 billion
– 658.4 million
– 814 million
(first three quarters) – 643 million
FDI was highest in 2007, but thanks to the 2008 war with Russia, investment decreased dramatically. In 2009, the government hoped to break the 1 billion USD mark, but failed.
