Negative trade balance in January

Georgia’s trade turnover in January 2012 reached 646 million USD. The negative balance reached 51%, the highest in six months.
Trade turnover with EU countries continued to increase, as did trade with CIS countries.
Turkey is Georgia’s largest trading partner, followed by Azerbaijan, Germany, Ukraine, China, Bulgaria, and Russia.
Georgia’s exports are mostly bound for Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Ukraine. Imports arrive from Turkey, Germany, and Azerbaijan.
