Turkey and Azerbaijan sign agreement with Iran

On March 7, the foreign ministers of Turkey, Iran, and Azerbaijan met in Nakhchevan. They signed a declaration promising that Azerbaijan and Turkey would not participate in any action taken against Iran. The parties also support regulating the Karabakh conflict according to international legislation, and creating a simpler visa regime. They also discussed the possibility of connecting the proposed Baku-Tbilisi-Kars rail line with Nakhchevan- Julfa- Tabriz line. The next meeting of the ministers is scheduled for September.
