Armenian PM Tigran Sarkysian has announced that his government intends to reconstruct the Armenia-Georgia border checkpoints at Bagratashen, Bavra, and Gogavan.
The European Investment Bank has allotted approximately ˆ30 million for the project, although this is only half of the projected budget.
The most active of the checkpoints is Bagratashen. Last year around 400 000 people crossed the border at this point, and more than 100 000 tonnes of cargo were transported through it.
